Established in 1995, the Club des Cinq, French-language nursery is located in Helsinki, in a great location near a playground.
We spend every day in a multicultural environment. We help children to broaden their world view and to enrich from the differences. We follow an educational program based on four pillars: by play, by sport, by discovering and art.
The nursery accepts children from 1½ to 6 years. The premises are on street level, spacious and comfortable. The group of children under 3 years has two rooms: one devoted to the game and the other to rest and sleep. The other two parts are used by the 3-5 age group for learning and meals. We also have a reading room.
We recently asked parents to fill out a satisfaction questionnaire. We are delighted that the children of the Club des 5 have the best teachers (83% of parents gave their child’s teacher maximum scores).

For schoolchildren, the Club des Cinq can offer child care during school holidays of their establishment. Parents have the opportunity to enroll their child in full-time (Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm) or part time (3 days per week from 8am to 5pm or 5 days a week from 8am to 3pm).
From 3 years old, the children gradually familiarise themselves with the French by total immersion in the language. Teachers communicate with the children in French only. The curriculum as well as the games and activities are organised in French.
The language immersion method of teaching was created in the 1960s in Canada by English-speaking parents who lived in bilingual areas. In this approach, learners are in total immersion in the foreign language with a native teacher. The goal is to speak the second language as naturally as the mother tongue.
The daycare is open 5 days per week, Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
The holidays are the same as in the Official Finnish Schooling System.

In Club des Cinq we celebrate carnivals and the Halloween. We also pay honours to Mother’s Day and Father’s Day as well as to other important moments during the span of one year. Every year, besides the well-known curricular activities the kindergarten organizes 4 to 6 extra trips.
We highly value your input and participation in kindergarten activities and social events as this is on your place, too. We have a common goal: To support your child emotional, social, cognitive and physical development.

The kindergarten closes. Parents come to pick up their children from the Park.
In order to respect the rhythm of life appropriate for all ages, children are grouped as follows:
Children under 3 years old are taught in Finnish and French.
From 3 years old on, children are taught by French native speakers.
